This undertaking goes beyond simple reporting: Human Company is redefining the concept of a tourist village, transforming it into a sustainable space integrated with the local area, thereby bolstering a tourism sector that typically sees little investment in ESG innovation. This report represents another significant step in a journey that will continue over time, with tangible objectives already established throughout the Industrial Plan.
These activities have yielded another year of excellent results for the Group, which recorded a significant increase in revenue – 9% more than 2024 – and an increase in overnight stays, which reached 4.3 million.

Human Company presents its second Sustainability Report
Human Company, known for its hu openair brand, continues its efforts to achieve a more inclusive approach to sustainability. Today, it is presenting its second Sustainability Report for the 2024 year, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to monitoring and improving its environmental, social and governance performance.
Changes since the first Sustainability Report: towards double materiality
Compared to the first edition, the Human Company Group’s second Sustainability Report reveals a significant evolution in the approach to ESG reporting. This document – like the previous one – adopted the GRI Standards, the main international reference for ESG reporting, but also introduced, on a totally voluntary basis, a double materiality assessment according to the ESRS rules. This step allows for a more comprehensive overview, evaluating not only the company's direct impacts on the environment and people, but also the external opportunities and risks that can directly influence the performance of Human Company's business. The aim is to ensure rigorous and transparent reporting with a view to bringing about positive changes for the people who work for the Group, for the tourism industry and for society as a whole.
The key milestones in this journey include four strategic projects that reflect the Group’s practical and innovative approach:
1)Digital Twin
The incremental development of the Digital Twin, a digital tool that creates a virtual version of each village map, is underway. Through an IoT infrastructure and Bluetooth devices, the system allows for real-time monitoring of the energy consumed by guests during their stay, the operating status of assets (such as wells, swimming pools, and electrical substations), and the identification of anomalous behaviour. This enables the measurement and subsequent optimisation of consumption at both the individual accommodation level and across the sites as a whole.
2)Green asset mapping
The company has renewed its commitment to a detailed analysis of each site's green assets, allowing it to enhance local biodiversity and plan targeted environmental protection interventions.
3)Sustainable Supply Chain
Human Company has introduced a comprehensive supplier evaluation system based on three pillars: analysis using a dedicated database and related ESG risk score, administration of evaluation questionnaires with a dedicated ESG section, and adherence to the Supplier Code of Conduct. The goal for 2026 is to reach 50% local suppliers, meaning within a 100 km radius, at the operational level.
4)ESG Loan with a pool of banks
The Group recently secured financing from a pool of banks coordinated by UniCredit, which links economic growth to concrete sustainability objectives. On the environmental side, the Group’s commitment focuses on the progressive reduction of direct and indirect emissions from its sites, while on the social side, it has initiated an internal training programme on ESG issues to incorporate sustainability into day-to-day decision-making processes.
Some tangible results already achieved
From an environmental perspective, Human Company has already achieved 100% electricity from certified renewable sources, effectively eliminating Scope 2 (market-based) emissions, and planted 1,000 trees in 2024. Additionally, it has implemented a sustainable mobility infrastructure, working to establish a company fleet consisting of 70% hybrid/electric vehicles by 2027, as well as 92 electric vehicle charging points by 2028.
On the social side, the company’s focus on people is reflected in the 1,979 hours of training provided and an investment of 240,000 euros in corporate welfare, used by 98.5% of beneficiaries. The increase in female representation to 48% (from 46% in 2023), and the resulting gender parity among employees, is particularly significant. The introduction of a free psychological counselling service for employees and their families, which has registered 34 members and 20 active users, underlines the effectiveness of a welfare system that goes beyond financial support.
Finally, with regard to governance and innovation, Human Company has obtained ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications for some of its sites, which serve as proof of its high operational standards. It plans to extend this model to all the Group's accommodation sites.
