Human Company began in the 80s fuelled, as much then as it is now, by the vision and the entrepreneurial spirit of the Cardini-Vannucchi family. Originally active in the textile sector in Prato, Human Company purchased the first campsite, the Norcenni Girasole in Figline Valdarno in 1982. This marked the beginning of the Group’s activity. The formula of the Village in Figline - a campsite nestled in the Tuscan hills, just a stone’s throw from Florence, Arezzo and Siena, away from the chaotic pace of city life and the Tyrrhenian coast - has achieved great success. The family’s original intuition of a new concept of non-marine camping, bringing together man and nature, culture and good cuisine, has been a roaring success.
The Human Company Group is 100% owned by the Cardini- Vannucchi family After on-the-job training within the Village, the second generation has now taken over the helm of the business’s managerial and strategic areas. A choice dictated by the passion and desire to collaborate in a large company project, directly managed by the family that aims to give continuity to the values that have characterised the growth and uniqueness of the company.

It is with the same objectives that the Group has simultaneously started the process of changing the company from a family to a professionally managed company, entrusting the general, financial and commercial management to industry professionals – Marco Galletti in the role of CEO – led by Claudio Cardini, Founder & Chairman of the Group.
In recent years the open-air tourism sector has recorded a constant increase in demand. With almost 4 million tourists in 2017 (amounting to 5.5% of the total recorded in the open-air properties in Italy), Human Company has established itself as leader in the open-air accommodation sector in Italy. Economic, environmental and social sustainability: these are the driving factors that inspire more and more tourists to choose an open-air residence and the convenience of properties located close to city centres which make it easy to visit the country’s artistic wonders. From a natural point of view, the openair tourism formula is synonymous with a sustainable, low-environmental impact holiday that promotes non-overbuilding in territories where the properties are located. The open-air tourism formula favours the development of zero impact buildings and accommodations, reforestation to protect green areas, cycle paths and botanical trails and sports activities set in nature.

Human Company Camping in Town Sites in Florence, Rome and Venice offer an alternative accommodation option to the hotel, with appropriate services and an environment more suited to socialising, all just a few kilometres from the historic city centres. These properties promote decongestion from high occupation, as indicated in the new Strategic Tourism Plan 2017-2022, developed by the Permanent Committee for Tourism Promotion with the coordination of the Directorate General for Tourism of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism - MiBACT.
