On Saturday 1 December, a press conference was held to present the Cavriglia Village Parco dello Sport project at the Teatro Comunale in Cavriglia, a town located between Florence and Arezzo, which was packed with guests and journalists.
The Sports Village will span an area of over 150 hectares on the edge of Chianti, in the heart of Tuscany, with the aim of combining tourism, leisure, sport and wellness. The proposal provides for the creation of the only open air facility of its kind in Europe, offering a range of sports that will be curated by Daniele Tognaccini, creator of Milan Lab.
The services within the park will satisfy both professional needs and those focused on maintaining people's psycho-physical well-being, while remaining in perfect harmony with the surrounding area.
During the event, speeches were made by Leonardo Degl'Innocenti O Sanni, the Mayor of Cavriglia, Marco Galletti, the Managing Director of Human Company, architect Alberto Torsello, representing the team that oversaw the development of the project, Daniele Tognaccini, as the figure responsible for the sports offered by the Park, and Vincenzo Ceccarelli, the Councillor for Infrastructures for the Region of Tuscany.
These are the words of the CEO of Human Company, Marco Galletti: "We are enthusiastic about this new sports tourism project, which sees us working alongside the municipal administration of Cavriglia as part of a fruitful and positive collaboration. With more than 30 years of experience in the outdoor sector and a deep bond with the areas in which our facilities are located, we will bring all our professionalism and know-how into play to create a sports village that is unique within Europe, with an accommodation area for tourists and another dedicated to sports professionals. Cavriglia Village Parco dello Sport will be an innovative, functional and efficient destination, in synergy with the surrounding landscape and serving both locals and tourists, from competition-level athletes to those who simply enjoy activities in the open air."
