Art exhibitions in and around Venice

With the arrival of September and the first rains, summer is drawing to a close. The end of the holidays and the return to work always cause a certain sadness, but don't worry, there are exhibitions and trips to raise your spirits! With the cooler weather and days that are still long and bright, what could be more beautiful than strolling through the cities of art?

Visiting museums and art galleries offers priceless moments of relaxation and reflection! Think about how you'd feel looking at Claude Monet's "Field of Poppies". Wouldn't it give you a sense of peace and well-being and perhaps recall some childhood memories?

For lovers of art, experiences such as these are not to be missed!

Here's a touch of inspiration for your autumn in Veneto.

Venice

Exhibition: From Titian to Rubens - Masterpieces from Antwerp and other Flemish collections

From 5 September to 1 March 2020 at Palazzo Ducale - Doge's Apartment

Masterpieces from Antwerp and other Flemish collections will be exhibited at Palazzo Ducale, transforming the spectacular apartments of the Doge into "constkamers", rooms embellished with exquisite Flemish works of art. Tiziano, Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck and Michiel Sweerts are just some of the names featured. Moreover, on the occasion of the exhibition, some icons of Venetian painting will return to their native land: some of these are works that have never been shown in public and are rarely moved. It is therefore a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in this sea of paintings!

For more information about tickets and opening hours, see the official website of the Doge's Palace.
